Tom van de Wouwer

​Tom Van de Wouwer was born in Kapellen, Belgium. He has exhibited his work in Belgium, U.K. and the U.S.A. and his work is collected internationally.

When he is not creating personal work, Tom divides his time between teaching drawing & painting workshops or instructing students privately. His work has largely focused on people and portraits, and more recently has evolved to explore the human condition through a contemporary painter’s visual and historical language.

Tom studied drawing and painting with Ted Seth Jacobs in the U.S. and France, Studio Escalier (Paris) and Steven Assael, NYC. He currently lives with his family in Opwijk, Belgium.
