Course Description
Discover the art of portrait drawing in this immersive workshop, working directly from live models using graphite or charcoal, white chalk, and toned paper in a colour of your choosing. You’ll learn to see the human face in a whole new way: understanding cranial anatomy, how to achieve likeness to the model, facial expression, while exploring strategies to bring emotion, depth, and storytelling into your drawings.
Over the course of the workshop, you’ll complete two portraits each day, capturing the nuances of one model in the mornings and another in the afternoons.
With personalised feedback and guidance, this workshop encourages you to grow your skills, build confidence, and enjoy the process of drawing in a supportive, structured environment. Laura's instruction is tailored to all levels, making this course valuable whether you're a novice just starting out with portrait drawing, or a seasoned artist looking to refine your skills. Step in, explore, and see your drawings come to life!
