Studying regularly from life is integral to the representational artist's development, particularly as it pertains to the study of the human figure. The Saturday Portrait Sketch sessions are an opportunity for extracurricular study available to DARA students, who are welcome to drop in on Saturday afternoons to sketch, draw, or paint the portrait from life.
These sessions are uninstructed and open for any student enrolled in one or more part-time courses during the Spring 2021 trimester to attend for free. It is not necessary to attend every week.
Please Note: A contingency of joining the portrait group is that each group member agrees to sit as the portrait model (fully clothed) at least once during the trimester. Each week, there is a new sitter.
Are you interested in joining? Please check the box indicating that you would like to attend the Saturday Portrait Sketch sessions when you complete an application form for a Spring 2021 part-time course at DARA.
