Plein Air Sketch

This extracurricular activity is seasonal, and takes place during the spring season only.

SESSION SCHEDULE: Every other Sunday during the spring trimester*
HOURS: 12:00 - 17:30
TUITION: Free

* Session dates may be cancelled/rescheduled in case of bad weather.
Participation is open to students enrolled in any part-time class during the spring.

A uniquely challenging but rewarding experience, sketching outdoors under natural light is a true test of the representational artist's ability. The Plein Air Sketch sessions are an extracurricular activity for DARA students to draw or paint the landscape together directly from nature, an excellent setting to study ideas about composition, perspective, light, and color.

>>This is a seasonal activity, and takes place during the Spring Trimesters only. Sessions are scheduled outdoors at different locations in/around Haarlem. In case of bad weather, dates may be cancelled/rescheduled, or moved to a different location.

Plein air sketch sessions are uninstructed and open for any student enrolled in one or more part-time courses during the spring trimester to attend. Participants can work in any medium they prefer. It is not required to attend every session during the term.
