The Haarlemse Kunst Salon (HKS) is a national juried exhibition that seeks to recognise excellence in contemporary figurative drawing and painting in the Netherlands. This exhibition is open to all artists across the Netherlands working in traditional media, and was founded as part of DARA’s ongoing initiative to carve out a space for contemporary realism.

The inaugural edition of the Kunst Salon will take place in December 2026, and work will be selected from an esteemed panel of professional Dutch painters. The deadline to submit work into the salon is 5 September.
