Figure Sketch (Long Pose)

SESSION SCHEDULE: Every Saturday of the trimester
HOURS: 18:00 to 21:00
TUITION: The participants at each session split the model costs (€60 per session)

Participation is open to students enrolled in any part-time class during the Fall 2022 Trimester.

Extracurriculars are for registered part-time students only, no drop-ins.

Studying regularly from life is integral to the representational artist's development, particularly as it pertains to the study of the human figure. Figure sketch sessions are an opportunity for extracurricular study available to DARA students to sketch, draw, or paint the figure from life.

Each week, a different model is hired to pose for a three-hour session. To join a session, each group member agrees to share the model's payment (€60 per session) with everyone else participating that week.

>> Model costs are split evenly among the number of weekly participants. Even if you only sketch for part of a three hour session, you share model costs equally with everyone else.

These sessions are uninstructed and open for any student currently enrolled in one or more part-time courses during the trimester to attend. Participants can work in any medium they prefer. It is not required to attend every week.

>> Models are posing nude, and students under age 18 need permission from a parent or legal guardian in order to participate. All participants are expected to behave maturely and to respect the models' privacy. Taking photos/videos is strictly forbidden.
