Elena Dvoeglazova
Teaching Assistant
Born and raised in Russia, Elena Dvoeglazova developed a love for art from a young age. She was influenced by her grandmother, an artist-designer, and her mother, who was also always fascinated by drawing. After spending her childhood drawing and painting, Elena stepped away from art for a time as she discovered a new passion for opera singing, which led her to study opera at university for five years. Eventually, Elena felt compelled to return to visual art, and rekindled her passion for the craft as she began creating as well as teaching. After moving to the Netherlands, she decided to refine her skills at the Dutch Atelier of Realist Art, where she trained in drawing from life using classical methods. After her first year of studies, she was invited to join the team as an assistant instructor. Elena now balances her time between teaching, studying, and producing her own work. While studying at DARA, she found this to be a truly prolific period, allowing her to explore her identity and express it through her art. She feels that she has finally found her unique style in her personal work. |
