Francesco Ferrari

Bootcamps / Teaching Assistant in Trimester Programme

​Born in 1988 in the southernmost province of Veneto, Italy, Francesco Ferrari began his artistic journey at a young age as a self-taught artist. During his formative years, following his love for both humanities and science, he graduated in Philosophy (Padova, Italy) and in Medical Biology (Freiburg, Germany).

After moving to Amsterdam, where he currently resides and works, he enrolled in courses DARA to resume his artistic studies on a systematic base. Showing a marked gift for both artistic expression and sharing his knowledge with others, Francesco eventually joined DARA's teaching team, specializing in teaching foundation-level drawing.

In his artistic production, Francesco tries to explore the frailty and nobleness of the human condition, drawing from the classical tradition that traces back to the Enlightenment, the Renaissance and the ancient Greek culture.
